Meet Our Team
Bruce Hoffman, MD, MACR
Dr. Hoffman joined the practice in 2001 and serves as a Senior Partner. He completed his undergraduate degree at Muhlenberg College and attended Temple University School of Medicine. He did his residency at the Medical College of Pennsylvania (MCP) and continued there for his Rheumatology fellowship. He joined the faculty at the MCP (now Drexel University). He was actively involved in patient care and teaching at MCP, Einstein Medical Center and Moss Rehabilitation Center.
Dr. Hoffman served as Chief of Rheumatology and joint Program Director for the Rheumatology Fellowship program at the MCP and Hahnemann University. His leadership roles include past President of the Philadelphia Rheumatism Society and Board member of the Eastern Pennsylvania Arthritis Foundation.
He is a Master of the American College of Rheumatology and Chief of Rheumatology at Jefferson Northeast Hospital. Dr. Hoffman has received the Hollander Award for Excellence in Rheumatology from the Arthritis Foundation and has been named Best Doctor in America for numerous years as well as a Philadelphia Magazine Top Doctor.
Dr. Hoffman is an avid Eagles fan, enjoys reading history books, and spends his free time with his dog and his family.
James Udell, MD, FACR
Dr. Udell is a Founding Partner and took over the practice from his father, Dr. Louis Udell, in 1984. He attended Muhlenberg College and earned his medical degree at the Medical College of Pennsylvania. He completed his residency and was Chief Resident at Brown University. Dr. Udell went to the University of Pennsylvania Rheumatology fellowship program.
Professional memberships include the American College of Rheumatology, American College of Physicians, and the Philadelphia Rheumatism Society. He is Board Certified in Rheumatology and Internal Medicine. He is a Board Member of the Lupus Foundation and the Philadelphia Rheumatology Society. He serves as the Principal Investigator for our Clinical Trials Center and is Chief of Rheumatology at Jeanes Hospital.
Dr. Udell enjoys traveling with his wife and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Neal Moskowitz, MD, PhD, FACR
Dr. Moskowitz joined the Arthritis Group in 2009 and is the Managing Business Partner and Chief Financial Officer. Dr. Moskowitz went to Duke University and graduated Summa Cum Laude as a Chemistry major. He earned his medical degree at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and his doctorate of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics at the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
He completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He attended a clinical rheumatology and osteoimmunology research fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery and Cornell University in New York City, New York. While at the Hospital for Special Surgery, he was a clinical research investigator for systemic vasculitis and conducted research on bone biology in a basic immunology laboratory.
He is Board Certified in Rheumatology and a Member of the American College of Rheumatology and Philadelphia Rheumatism Society. He serves as a Lecturer at Thomas Jefferson University and Temple University Medical Schools.
Dr. Moskowitz is a Robotics Competition Coach and a Girl Scout Cookie Dad for his daughter. He is an amateur chef and enjoys hiking with his family and their two dogs.
Jill B. Johnson, MD, FACR
Dr. Johnson is our Chief Medical Officer and the Managing Partner for the Clinic and Infusion Center. She attended Bob Jones University and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2003. She received her medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine. After completing her residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center, Dr. Johnson proceeded to a rheumatology fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.
She is board certified in Rheumatology and an expert in ultrasound-guided injections. Memberships include the American College of Rheumatology, where she serves on the Committee of Ethics and Conflicts of Interest, and the Philadelphia Rheumatism Society. In addition, Dr. Johnson is a Lecturer at Thomas Jefferson University and Temple University.
In her free time, she enjoys trail running, gardening and planting in her greenhouse, and spending time with her husband and son.
Barry L. Getzoff, DO, FACOI, FACR
Dr. Getzoff earned his undergraduate degree at Temple University and his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He holds board certifications in Internal Medicine, Rheumatology and is a licensed Osteopathic Physician and Surgeon. Dr. Getzoff also served as an Investigator and Sub-Investigator for clinical research and trials.
He is a Clinical Professor of Internal Medicine at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine as well as a Preceptor at the Salus University College of Health Sciences. He is an award-winning physician and has received the Top Doctor’s Award and Patient’s Choice Award on several occasions.
Shikha Rathi, MD, FACR
Dr. Rathi earned her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery at Rajiv Gandhi Medical College in Mumbai, India and completed her Internal Medicine residency at Overlook Medical Center in Summit, New Jersey. Dr. Rathi went to Temple University for her Rheumatology fellowship and was previously an Assistant Professor of Geriatrics at Temple University. She joined our practice in 2017. Dr. Rathi is board certified in Rheumatology and Geriatrics. Professional memberships include the American College of Rheumatology and the Philadelphia Medical Society. She conducts Resident Lectures at Jefferson Torresdale Hospital and is expertly trained in musculoskeletal ultrasound guided injections.
Theresa Brown, MSN, CRNP
Theresa earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Holy Family University and her Masters of Science in Nursing at Thomas Jefferson University. She began as a Nurse Practitioner at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and went onto Pennsylvania Hospital. She has also worked at Lower Bucks Hospital and Fox Chase Cancer Center before joining our practice. Theresa provides patient consultations, follow up care and performs intra-articular injections.
She stays strong and healthy with gym workouts, enjoys weekends at the beach, and spending time with family and friends.
