The Arthritis Group is accepting new and existing patients from all of our office locations, but candidates will visit the testing center at our Philadelphia office to participate in the clinical trial.

information about existing FDA-approved medications.

Previous clinical trials offered breakthrough treatment for Rheumatoid Arthritis, Symptomatic Knee Osteoarthritis, and Psoriatic Arthritis.

Our Clinical Research Department
Dr. James Udell is our Principal Investigator for our Clinical Trials Center. Under his direction, the CTC has offered innovative treatment since 1996 for many diseases such as Rheumatoid Arthritis, Osteoarthritis, and Fibromyalgia.
Donah Zack Crawford, MA is our Clinical Trials Director. Ms. Crawford holds a Bachelor of Arts in Management Science and Psychology from Nazareth College of Rochester, and a Master of Arts in Social Gerontology from the University of Pennsylvania. She was a senior research coordinator at The University of Pennsylvania Medical Center from 1990 until 1997 in the Smell and Taste Center, and the Premenstrual Syndrome/Perimenopause Program. She was a founding member of the University of Pennsylvania Research Coordinator Resource Group, won a University of Pennsylvania Fellows in Aging Excellence Award, and co-authored 12 scientific papers. Ms. Crawford joined the Arthritis Group, PC in 1998 as Director of Clinical Trials, and OSHA Compliance Officer. She has directed over 75 Clinical Trials in the areas of Rheumatoid Arthritis, Osteoarthritis, Psoriatic Arthritis, and Pain. Ms. Crawford is very active with the Arthritis Foundation and the American College of Rheumatology and has served on the ACR Healthcare Professional Education, Research, Ethics, Political Action (RheumPAC), Annual Planning, and Executive Committees. She is an active member of the ARP/American College of Rheumatology Executive Committee, a 2021 ARP/American College of Rheumatology Representative to RheumPAC. She received the 2020 Ann Kunkel Advocacy Award which recognizes extraordinary service to advocate for patients with rheumatic disease, or for healthcare professionals in rheumatology.
